Demand for the trainer training is high. As soon as there are enough interested participants, we start a new round — you can put your name down at any time.
If you would like to take a closer look first, you can take part in our teaching sessions as a team to be trained. Teams of every level are welcome; bookable via the booking portal.
At our seminars we see a great many teams, dogs of many breeds and the results of numerous training methods. From these many years of experience in search dog training, we have developed a training concept that gives you a solid foundation for the diversity of dogs and people, for the problems big and small that come up, and for different scenarios.
We live mantrailing, we love it — and we love teaching teams and helping them develop as far as possible. We look forward to passing on our skills to you.
The trainer training consists of three modules. In weekend seminars, the theory is taught thoroughly and combined with practical sessions for direct application: on the first day the theory is presented, on the second day it is worked through in practice.
Because theory on a few weekends alone is not enough to become a good trainer, the training also includes six practical training sessions in which you train other teams under our supervision. Each training session lasts one day; you practise analysing each team in detail and adapting the training accordingly — a kind of teaching practice, so to speak.
In the seminars you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, to experience the practical application and to work as a trainer yourself with backup — step by step, from complete beginner teams to everything a team can and should be able to do.
A sufficient level of knowledge is required. To receive the certificate as a qualified trainer, you must complete all three theory modules and the six practical training sessions and, at the end, be able to successfully analyse and train at least advanced beginners.
Course size: 5 to 10 participants.
The training is suitable for committed hobby trailers who want to put their knowledge and skills on a solid footing, as well as for trainers up to operational level.
Modules 1 to 3 consist of a theory part held at the dog school, with the opportunity to see and apply the theory in practice. They are complemented by purely practical parts in which the content is put into practice.
The practical parts take place at suitable locations around Bad Dürkheim; each participant is responsible for their own transport. You are welcome to bring your own dogs — however, time does not allow every exercise to be done with every dog during the modules. We also provide teams suited to the respective level of training.
The additional training days are intended for in-depth practical work. They focus exclusively on putting what you have learned into practice and on instructing suitable teams. In the advanced training sessions, the trainers also train each other in order to learn how to pass on their knowledge well to their future „students“.
